    Description

Up for your consideration is a beautiful three-piece console set comprised of a footed console bowl by Cambridge Glass and a pair of double candle holders made by Paden City in the 1940's.  The pieces are etched with gold inlaid Bridal Bouquet etching.  The etching and decoration was done by Gastonbury/Lotus.  Lotus bought glass blanks from all of the large and small glass companies in the northeastern US, put their own etching designs and decorations on them, and resold them to the public.  Often they used glass from several companies for a set, which is the case with this console set.  The Paden City candle holders are an unknown line number, named Betsy by William Walker.  They measure 6" high, 5 1/8" across the base, and with a 6 3/4" arm spread.  The four-footed console bowl by Cambridge Glass (identified by the number of feet) measures 12" in diameter and stands 3 1/2" tall.  All three pieces of glass are in near MINT* condition, with no chips, flakes, cracks, flea bites, or damage of any kind.  The gold inlay on the console bowl is virtually 100% intact, while the candleholders have gold inlay that is greater than 95% intact.  None of the gold is missing, it is just a tad fainter in one or two spots, hard to notice except in very bright light.  A gorgeous console set, in beautiful condition!
Due to the size of the console set, it will be shipped in an oversized box.  I recommend choosing shipping with FedEx.  USPS charges significantly higher shipping rates if any dimension of the box is greater than 12".  Also, ground services such as FedEx supply insurance to 0 included free with shipping!
    * I list items with no damage of any type as 'Near Mint' as I hate to say any item that is more than a few years old is 'Mint'.  Judge by the description, I list any irregularities or minor damage, so if I say no damage, there is no damage even if I call it near mint!
Note:  Elegant and Depression glass commonly contains bubbles, straw marks, inclusions, etc. in the glass, but these are not defects.  I try to include glass anomalies such as this in the description when present.
